Tama Art University Admissions Policy
Tama Art University welcomes applicants who:

- wish to pursue international careers;
- are endowed with imagination, expressive power, and an appreciation
of beauty;

Concept behind the Entrance Exams
By bringing together gifted individuals from around the globe
to interact with, challenge, and be challenged by Japanese students,
the Tama Art University entrance exams are designed to create an
environment conducive to the production of world-class art and
design.
The entrance exams consist of an essay and an interview —designed
to determine the candidate's attitudes to art and gauge his or
her Japanese proficiency —and a practical test (or essay in the
case of the Department of Art Science) —designed to assess the
candidate's ability in his or her chosen major.
