Tama Art University

1. The office provides information about lodging houses and apartments twice in March.
2. In the case that international students do not have guarantees necessary to rent private apartments near the university, TAU acts as their guarantor under the condition that they agree to carry “Comprehensive Renter's Insurance for Foreign Students Studying in Japan”. In this case, residential areas are limited to the vicinities of the university, from Tama center to Hashimoto and from the university to Hachioji.

80% of international students live near Hashimoto Station in Sagamihara City and other students live close to the university.

1. Apartments near Hashimoto Station
   An apartment with a six-tatami mat room and modular bathroom (air conditioner and refrigerator sometimes included) rents from 50,000 to 65,000 yen a month.
2. Apartments close to TAU
   An apartment with a six-tatami mat room and modular bathroom (air conditioner and refrigerator sometimes included) rents from 40,000 to 50,000 yen a month.
3. Apartments near Hachioji Station
   An apartment with a six-tatami mat room and modular bathroom (air conditioner and refrigerator sometimes included) rents from 45,000 to 60,000 yen a month.
