タルー七世の虚弱な息子カジル8才と献身的な養女メイスデル7才が演ずるシェイクスピア劇「発見されたロメオとジュリエットのエピローグ」は、悲劇のヒーローとヒロインが引き起こす偏見・先入観・誤りの原因を明らかにするメタ物語で、幼年期のロメオとジュリエントが自己形成期に影響を受けた家庭教師の教訓話と乳母の話からなる六つの幻影で構成される。メタ認識

彫刻家フィユクシェが発明した、熱すると煙の彫刻を生成する「赤いボンボン」が炉に焼べられると次から々へと幻想が出現する。
