The form of reality is established through multi-dimensional relationships between the elements that make up realistic world. The process of design that creates the form of reality is not a simple one.

1) At the first stage, a simple problem is presented, and the form is freely dreated to develop an aesthetic design.
.
2) At the second stage,a problem involving complex elements is presented, and a rational and harmonized system is designed.
.
3) At the third stage, a contradictory problem is presented, and an innovative design displaying a new consciousness achieved by the designer is proposed.
.

.
These three stages correspond to the pursuit of beauty, goodness, and truth.

The key to good art education is to respect the personalities of individual students and to release creativity.

There are internal factors which may stifle an individualユs creativity, such as lack of drawing ability or limited fundamental knowledge, but these problems can be overcome through consistent effort. The more one draws, the more oneユs technique will improve, and the more one reads, the broader oneユs knowledge will become.

I often encounter fixed beliefs which attempt to rigidly define what art, design, or even a university can be. This way of thinking simply puts a brake on our free ideas.

However, I feel the greatest hindrance to our creativity is our own fixed thinking.

These new types of art are created based on new sensitivity to the times and young peopleユs own distinctive beliefs.

Such innovative works are not always readily accepted by society. However, if the rich expressive power of art can touch the sensitivities of viewers, then the messages of the works will take root and prevail.

The exploration of oneユs field of specialty and the creation of advanced work require a basic ability to express oneself visually.
